I was reading last night and there was a passage about Aziz speaking to his friends whose ears were shrinking the longer he went on.
Made me laugh, I liked the image of picturing ears shrinking when one doesn't want to listen anymore.

Love it. This book is full of little passages like this that sneak up on you and are totally great. There is such excellent imagery and even though he is disussing specific people and cultures, it's things like this that make the story timeless and applicable. It's excellent writing, but definitely requires focused reading, I've noticed!
